Welcome to our ‘self publishing’ site. The information you are about to read will inspire you on your journey towards becoming a self published author. Both authors of the self publishing CD have through dedication and persistence created legacies for themselves with their books. In addition to this they have also created an assortment of unique masterpieces in each of their specialized fields.
Our eBook (a book on disk that may be printed from most home pc’s) will show you how you too can create your own legacy (something significant for you to leave behind once you pass on). Money, assets and other items left on death realistically do not remind people of you or your experiences. Money disappears, houses and buildings are sold and your name and hard work that once was attached to these possessions vanishes. However, a book, or even an electronic book on disk that carries your name is a lasting memory and will be far more valuable through the ages of time because no matter how many hands it passes through your name goes with it every single time. How often have you been into second hand book shops or ambled around flea markets and seen boxes of well read books on sale? Most of those books have been in circulation for many years and are still being read over and over. Each time they go to another reader the legacy of the author continues and grows.
A book may simply be a document for family perusal or perhaps it will be of stories from an era of days gone by. It may also, on the other hand, be an electronic document on CD produced on your home computer about different topics of interest i.e. instructions for the “DIY” enthusiast or humorous encounters of everyday life. "Live life to the fullest. Don't live in the past, don't worry too much about the future....As yesterday is long over, and tomorrow may never be here. Live for today, and enjoy this very moment, life is too short to let life's precious moments slip by”

This word is used rather loosely today and means the creation of a ‘document’ in its entirety - including the production of a book be it an electronic document on email or disk or something tangible in conventional book form. It does not mean exclusively a ‘book’ as most of us know the term, but also includes documents on disks i.e. CD or DVD. These are known as ‘eBooks’ or ‘electronic books’. Historically the word ‘published’ used to mean approaching a large publishing house and hoping against all odds that they will accept your submission whereupon they will carry the process of editing, layout and printing of the books while carrying the costs. Unfortunately only a few select authors are lucky enough to be chosen. So where does that leave all the excluded aspiring authors? Should they not also be afforded the opportunity to produce stories and masterpieces in their own right even if it is meant solely for friends and family reading? The answer to all these questions is simple: ‘Self Publish’. Keep in mind that there is a difference between ‘self publishing’ and publishing with organizations who accept your work but farm it out directly to the printers on your behalf without providing honest, constructive feedback to you simply so they can reap the ‘middle man’ fees.
Firstly, what you need to do is decide who you are writing your book for. Is it a personal account of interesting happenings, a family legacy for generations to come or is it a commercial enterprise aimed at bookstores? These questions are most important as they will determine your expected costs and your process and purpose for writing the book.
